The University of Amsterdam (faculty of science) and SOWISO signed a partnership agreement starting this academic year. One important aspect of the agreement is the fact that all (thousands of) students from the Faculty of Science now have access to our e-learning platform, providing them with an innovative personalized learning experience. Teachers benefit because the software takes care of some of the (repetitive) tasks, correcting homework or tests is no longer necessary.
But this partnership is more than just this license agreement. In the previous year there have been successful innovative pilot projects between UvA and SOWISO, and we wish to continue to engage in this type of open innovation that benefits both parties. SOWISO will help develop and support the UvA in their constant effort to take their education to the next level, so it fits today’s generation of students. This same expertise of the UvA helps SOWISO in the continuing development of the SOWISO e-learning platform. And these are just a few of the options within the bounds of this agreement.
Communication between UvA and SOWISO has been going really great. Requests for help or support, both ways, are always dealt with in a timely and constructive manner. The fact that we are neighbors (both residing at the Amsterdam Science Park) is of course also very convenient. 😉
We are particularly proud of this agreement, not only because the UvA is one of the leading Dutch Universities, but also because it means a shift from their legacy system MapleTA to SOWISO. Maybe the biggest compliment we can receive!
